Washable paint is one of the smartest upgrades you can make in a busy home. Hallways, kitchens, children’s rooms, staircases and family living spaces pick up marks faster than quiet bedrooms, so the right finish can save repeated touching-up and repainting.
At Decor Express, we stock several premium paints designed for exactly this type of use. The key is choosing the right balance of low sheen, washability, stain resistance and scuff resistance.

What makes a wall paint washable?
A washable paint forms a tougher surface than a traditional delicate matt emulsion. This allows everyday marks to be removed more easily with a damp cloth without polishing the finish or removing colour. For the busiest areas, look for products specifically described as washable, scrub-resistant or scuff-resistant.
Benjamin Moore Scuff-X: for maximum scuff resistance
Scuff-X was engineered for demanding high-traffic commercial interiors, making it an excellent option for hallways, stairwells, entrances, utility rooms and family spaces. Benjamin Moore describes it as washable, quick-drying and specially formulated to resist scuffing.
At Decor Express, Scuff-X is available in Matte, Eggshell and Satin options, with Eggshell and Satin also available in the smaller 0.94L size. Check the live Scuff-X product pages for current pricing and any active offer.

Yes. Durability matters, but colour still changes dramatically with natural and artificial light. Test the shade before ordering full tins, especially with deeper colours or north-facing rooms.
