We operate a Challenge 25 policy across our stores to help prevent age-restricted products from being sold to anyone below the legal minimum age.

If you look under 25, a member of our team may ask you to provide valid photographic identification before completing the purchase of an age-restricted product.

Age-Restricted Products

Some products available from Decor Express are subject to legal age restrictions. These may include:

  • Knives, knife blades and certain bladed or sharply pointed articles – 18+

  • Axes – 18+

  • Certain corrosive products – 18+

  • Aerosol spray paints – 16+

  • Certain solvents and volatile substances – restrictions may apply where misuse or intoxication is suspected

The applicable age restriction depends on the type of product being purchased.

Acceptable Proof of Age

Where proof of age is requested, we accept recognised photographic identification, including:

  • A valid passport

  • A photographic driving licence

  • A proof-of-age card displaying the PASS hologram

The identification must be valid, belong to the person making the purchase and clearly show their date of birth.

If You Cannot Provide ID

If you are asked for proof of age and cannot provide acceptable identification, we will be unable to complete the sale of the age-restricted product.

Our team also reserves the right to refuse a sale where there are reasonable concerns regarding the intended use of a restricted product.

Online Orders

Age restrictions also apply to products purchased online.

Where required, additional age-verification or delivery requirements may apply to age-restricted products. We reserve the right to request proof of age, restrict delivery options or cancel an order where the relevant legal requirements cannot be satisfied.
