Little Greene Trumpet 196 is a vibrant 1970s yellow inspired by the bold coloured plastics and optimistic design language of the era. Bright, playful and highly decorative, it is particularly effective on joinery, furniture, doors and smaller architectural details where a strong accent is wanted. Use Trumpet in south-facing rooms, kitchens and creative spaces, or introduce it as a lively highlight within a neutral scheme. Loft White provides a crisp balance, while darker greens and blues can create stronger retro contrast. A distinctive Little Greene yellow for mid-century and contemporary interiors seeking a confident accent colour with genuine period character and energetic visual appeal.
